Meriel loves colour, pattern, and composition. She uses a variety of mediums, enjoys experimenting and often stylises her work, finding herself drifting away from reality.

The Scottish Colourists, Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and Jeremy Gardiner are among the artists she admires.

As a mature student she completed Part One of “An Advanced Certificate in Fine Art” and has attended a variety of art workshops, courses and evening classes.

She is a member of Bournemouth Arts Club with whom she has exhibited on several occasions.
