Christine Clarke

Chris’s father was an artist and art restorer and she grew up surrounded by his beautiful paintings and those he was restoring.  She recently retired from running The Gallery at 41 with her husband Steve, and now has more time to immerse herself in her love of painting.

In the summer months she loves being out with her easel in our beautiful landscape and is particularly inspired by the work of Cezanne.

She works mainly in oil but she also loves drawing, pastel and watercolour.  She enjoys both the discipline and energy of the life room and the challenge of achieving a likeness in portraiture and particularly enjoys the tutoring of Anthony Connolly PRP and Toby Wiggins.
